Working in close collaboration with Adidas' international design teams and local retail development managers, our role focused on translating the global design intent into a fully coordinated, buildable architectural solution that maintained brand consistency while satisfying Australian regulatory, construction and operational requirements.

Our services encompassed the complete architectural documentation process, from preliminary design development through tender documentation, and construction detailing, culminating in the preparation of comprehensive Issued for Construction (IFC) documentation together with the procurement of all statutory approvals, permits and certifications required for store opening.

While the architectural language is defined by Adidas' global design standards, successful delivery relies upon rigorous technical coordination and disciplined documentation. The Home of Sport format is characterised by a highly modular retail environment, where exposed building services, flexible merchandising systems, integrated digital media and carefully planned customer circulation combine to create a contemporary retail experience capable of adapting to evolving product ranges and seasonal campaigns while maintaining a consistent international brand identity.

As the relationship with Adidas has continued to expand, RxD's role has evolved beyond architectural documentation to encompass the position of Principal Consultant, coordinating multidisciplinary consultant teams including structural, mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and fire engineering, together with private certification for all permits and approvals. This integrated approach streamlines project delivery, reduces coordination risk and provides Adidas with a single point of responsibility from design development through construction, approvals and successful store handover.
